Caffè Quadri

Went here for breakfast. The menu was quite limited- many variations of pastries and croissants but no eggs. Only if you get the breakfast packages which were quite expensive and filled with other items that I didn’t want to eat for breakfast. The croissants were crisp and tasty but for some reason came in a prepackaged plastic bag. The outdoor experience is nice but the tables are very uncomfortable and not easy to sit together. The inside atmosphere is a totally different and beautiful vibe. However they didn’t let us sit in the bistro area unless we ordered food even though we had just had breakfast and wanted to have another cup of coffee in the airconditioned room. It was also almost completely empty inside so we didn’t understand why they refused to sit us there. We had another coffee at the bar. The interior decor is amazing. The waiters are very polite and the service is very classy. It was pretty expensive though.

I really enjoyed this Cafe, not as famous as the Florian but desserts were superior, fresh and tasty in comparison to Florian. Worth the price of experience and location.

One of the old & traditional cafe places around Markus square. I am recommending the Espresso bar. We had the fancy looking shaken Espresso for 5,50 € each. Great deal !!!

This is a complicated place. A tourist trap and a hidden gem at the same time. We just went to the counter to order coffee and enjoyed it inside the bar. The coffee was excellent and prices reasonable.

I'm conflicted about Quadri. I've been coming since I was very young, for almost 20 years, and it's changed a lot over that time. It used to be a very personal place where I knew all the waiters and we'd be welcomed back each time. Now it feels a lot less personal and more just of an expensive tourist trap. One that has very good food, very good drinks, and an incredible atmosphere. But it's lost the edge of what it had 10-15 years ago. At the end of the day, you're paying for the atmosphere of San Marco and being able to sit within it and enjoy it.
