Japanese green tea and teaware specialty shop Thés Du Japon

Incredible tea shop. If you're looking for unique and special Japanese teas, this is the place to go. They organize teas by terroir and cultivar and have a whole shelf dedicated to Japanese black tea cultivars that are impossible to find on the global export market and even in most other domestic tea shops. The shopkeeper was clearly an expert in tea and was quite good at technical tea terminology in English - so it was really easy to pick out some of my favorite Japanese tea.

I came with zero idea about tea and the owner was very knowledgeable and willing to teach ! I spent close to an hour there learning about the teas of Japan and how to prepare them as well as trying some ! If you want some specialty teas and excellent guidance, it is the place to go to !

Absolutely fabulous teashop with an excellent selection of tea and tea-ware. I visited the store twice on my trip through Japan and I wish I stayed a longer time in the store to learn more from the very knowledgeable store-owner.
